If you've uninstalled Rosie AI from Excel but still see the task pane every time you open a spreadsheet, don't worry—this issue is easy to fix. The root cause is that Excel stores Task Pane Add-ins in individual workbooks, even after the add-in is uninstalled. Here’s how to remove Rosie AI from your workbook:
Steps to Resolve:
Open the affected workbook in Excel (Windows version recommended for these steps).
Navigate to the following menu:
File > Info > Inspect Workbook > Inspect Document
In the Document Inspector, ensure you inspect for Task Pane Add-ins.
Once the inspection is complete, look for the Task Pane Add-ins section, which might look like this:
Click Remove All to clear the add-in references from the workbook.
Save and close the workbook.
After completing these steps, the Rosie AI side panel should no longer reopen when you open the workbook.
Additional Notes:
This process must be repeated for any other workbook where the Rosie AI panel reappears.
